Founder profile

Karan Rai

Founder, SkyBase Labs

10+ years across infrastructure management, security, automation, SRE, and platform engineering in production environments.

Experience includes healthcare, startups, gaming, and a global provider of business, legal, and tax compliance services.

Current work focuses on private AI, managed operations, and governance for regulated legal and medical teams.

Founder perspective

SkyBase Labs was founded after seeing the same pattern repeatedly across production environments: regulated teams were expected to adopt modern technology without a delivery model that matched operational reality.

After 10+ years leading infrastructure, security, automation, SRE, and platform engineering work across healthcare, startups, gaming, and a global provider of business, legal, and tax compliance services, Karan built SkyBase Labs to bring that implementation discipline to smaller legal and medical teams.

The model stays practical by design: private AI and managed operations are delivered under one governance structure, with clear ownership, documented controls, and accountable post-launch support.

Why SkyBase Labs exists

Regulated teams should be able to adopt modern AI and infrastructure practices without compromising governance quality or operational clarity.

Practical over performative

We focus on measurable workflow and operational outcomes with implementation discipline.

Control by design

Architecture, access, and delivery decisions are documented so leadership teams can review and retain them.

Long-term partnership model

Projects are structured for implementation plus ongoing managed support, not one-off handoffs.

What clients can expect from an engagement

Every engagement follows a delivery pattern designed to reduce ambiguity and improve executive confidence.

Before build begins

  • Initial governance and workflow baseline
  • Defined implementation scope and milestone plan
  • Stakeholder alignment on priorities and constraints

During and after delivery

  • Configuration and governance documentation
  • Operational readiness and team onboarding support
  • Post-launch reporting and improvement cadence

Proof of delivery approach

Without publishing sensitive client details, we provide evidence through process transparency and implementation artifacts.

Scoping artifacts

Use-case prioritization, governance assumptions, and delivery sequence documented before production work begins.

Operational reporting

Post-launch cadence includes status reporting, issue trends, and next-step recommendations.

Mission

Help legal and medical teams adopt private AI and reliable infrastructure operations with clear governance and practical execution.
